Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic

November 2014

November 2014

While much of the Canadian sports world will be focused on baseball and hockey this Thanksgiving weekend, we'll be focused on trying to hold onto our top spot on the Women's World Curling Tour.

We're in Calgary this weekend for the Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic.  In recent years this has been a successful stop for us on tour with a runner-up finish recorded by us last year and semi-finalists in 2013. As captured by The Curling News (left) we battled Team Jones in last year's final.

After getting off to a slow start in the event we found ourselves in the C event with our backs against the wall. After three straight Sunday wins over Teams Stretch, Jones and Scheidegger, we secured our spot in the playoffs. On Thanksgiving Monday we picked up an 8-2 morning win followed by a 7-4 win in the semifinal. The championship final happens Monday at 3:30 p.m. MT (5:30 p.m. ET) against Team Carey.  You can follow the game on Curling Geek by clicking here.   This event is not televised but we'll do our best to keep fans updated across all of our social channels this weekend.  Be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram for updates.

You can get draw information along with line scores from Calgary at CurlingZone.

We'd also like to take this chance to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  We have a lot to be thankful for again this season and none more important than our family, fans and generous sponsors.  Thanks for cheering us on through a strong start to 2015-2016!

And Go Jays Go!
