Prairie Showdown in Grande Prairie

It was great to be back in Alberta for the second last event of our 2014-2015 season.  We were in Grande Priarie for the Pomeroy Prairie Showdown from March 12th to 15th.

Our late season hard work paid off with us capturing the championship of the event on Sunday evening!

This event included a pool structure with two pools on the women's side and a triple-knockout format over on them men's side.  

Our pool record was 4-1. We then qualified for the six team playoff. In the playoffs we picked up three straight victories to capture the event.

There was over $40,000 available to women's teams at this event and CTRS points were also on the table.  We picked 16 CTRS points at the event and are now just over six points back of second place for the Canadian season.
