Tour Challenge takes us to Cranbrook
We were in beautiful Cranbrook, B.C. this week for the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling Tour Challenge.
This event included the most number of teams of any of the Pinty's Slam stops throughout the season. The reason for the increase in teams is to accommodate the Tour Challenge split into Tier 1 and Tier 2 play. We competed in Tier 1 action at Western Financial Place.
The format is pool play with the top teams advancing to the weekend playoffs. Our pool consisted of Teams Ogasawara, Rocque, Fleury and Einarson.
We completed our pool play with a 4-0 record. In the quarterfinals we came up against Team Englot. It was a close battle but we came out on the other side of it, losing 7-5.
Thanks to all of the volunteers and organizers in Cranbrook for hosting another great Grand Slam event.
