Dear fans,
We could not have written a better script for our 2017. As the calendar year closes and we are named Olympians we are reminded that our fans have played a key supporting role in this journey.
From our triumphant walk down Sheet C in Cobourg, Ontario to advance to our fifth Scotties, to our World Championship anthem singalong on the other side of the world and to now securing an Olympic berth in our hometown, it has been an incredible year.
We wanted to take this chance to thank all of you for believing in us, cheering thunderously for us in the crowd and passing along your inspiring support during the Roar of the Rings. Thank you to our fellow competitors for putting on a fantastic show for Canada.
Our families, support team and generous sponsors, Curling Canada, the army of friendly volunteers and you - our fans - all added to our winning formula.
As we prepare for 2018 we prepare to join an even larger team and proudly represent Canada.
On Sunday we achieved something we had dreamed of since we tossed our first Little Rockers stones more than two decades ago. We became Olympians.
Thank you for the countless messages, love, crowd chants and signs of support this past week from the seats of the Canadian Tire Centre and from your living rooms.
When that arena roared and the celebration horn blew we held onto each other but we were held up by all of you.
