Canada Cup Champions!

We're thrilled to have captured the 2015 Canada Cup of Curling! The win secures us a spot in the 2017 Tim Horton's Roar of the Rings which is the qualifying event for the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The Canada Cup was the first Season of Champions event of 2015-2016 and one of the marquee stops on our curling schedule.

Six other women's teams from across the country participated in the event.  We were the top placed team after the round robin and advanced directly into the final of the event with the second and third placed team playing off in the semifinal.

The final against Team Sweeting was a back and forth battle going to an extra-end.  Facing a Sweeting counter in the four foot, we needed a piece of the button on Rachel's last draw to win.  Careful sweeping and a well executed and high pressure team shot resulted in the single and the win.

We'd like to thank all of the volunteers and organizers here in Grande Priarie for the support and success hosting this high class event.

Congratulations also go out to four of our fans who won signed jerseys that we gave away online during the event.  Congratulations Cathy Craig, Abigail Hagger, Mike Murtha and Eunice Chin!

We're back on the ice this week for the Canadian Open in Yorkton, Saskatchewan as the next stop on the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling.
