Curling in Paradise

The first stop on the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling was a special one for us. Paradise, Newfoundland hosted a brand new event and marked our first trip as a team to the Rock.

The inaugural GSOC Tour Challenge featured the very best in women's and men's teams from around the world. The Paradise Double Ice Complex was our home we experienced the warm Newfoundland hospitality (not the weather!) as we settled into town. The event marked our first time competing in Newfoundland and completed our Canadian map as we've now curled in every province as well as Yukon!

Curling has taken us to some beautiful places around the world but we're always amazed by the sights and hospitality we encounter across our own country.

We finished off our pool play with a perfect 4-0 record.  After two tough wins in the playoffs we qualified for the event championship.  We came up jsut a bit short to Team Tirizoni of Switzerland in the final but added to our great start to the season.

Early Title

The last week has been very busy for us. Despite it being a summer long weekend, it was a long weekend of curling for us. We picked up the trophy at the 2015 Stu Sells Oakville Tankard on Monday. Capturing the first major stop on the World Curling Tour event of the season was very important to us as it starts our season off with momentum and CTRS points.
